Why Protecting Our Environment Matters

The Bahamas is blessed with some of the most vibrant marine estuaries and coral reef barriers on earth. But climate shifts, plastic pollution, and coastal development place immense pressure on our fragile island biology.

1

Preserving Coral Reefs & Marine Life

Reefs nurture fisheries and buffer island shores from tropical storms. Keeping oceans plastic-free saves native species.

2

Protecting Vital Mangrove Forests

Mangroves trap sediment, filter freshwater runoffs, and sequester carbon faster than terrestrial tropical forests.

Why Protecting Our Bahamian Mangroves & Marine Reefs Matters More Than Ever

The Bahamas is celebrated worldwide for its crystal-clear ocean waters and world-class biodiversity. Yet, climate change, marine litter, and coastal erosion challenge our fragile marine balance.
